Diana Zakharchuk

PhD student

I am originally from Ukraine and hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Biomolecular Engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany. My academic training focused on protein and peptide synthesis, as well as their characterization. During my Master’s studies, I had the opportunity to spend a semester at the Computational Omics Lab (CoLAB) at Busan National University in South Korea.

I am currently pursuing my PhD at the CAMDgraz Laboratory at the Medical University of Graz. My research focuses on developing controllable degradation and lifecycle management strategies for micro- and nanorobotic materials. By integrating biocatalytic systems with material design, I aim to enable sustainable disassembly and recycling after use.

Outside the laboratory, I enjoy working out, traveling, and playing tennis.
